Getting Mobile Search Right
Most websites lose half their potential audience because mobile search works differently than desktop. This program walks through the technical tweaks and content adjustments that actually matter.
You'll look at real mobile indexing scenarios, test page speed impacts, and figure out why some pages rank well on phones but not on computers. No theory lectures, just the stuff that changes outcomes.

Mobile-First Indexing
Google's crawler sees your mobile version first now. We go through exactly what that means for your site structure and how to verify everything's working.
You'll spot common mistakes that tank mobile rankings and learn to test your pages the way search engines actually see them.
Speed & Performance
Page speed hits harder on mobile connections. We measure Core Web Vitals, identify what's slowing pages down, and implement fixes that users actually notice.
Tools, metrics, and real optimization work that improves both rankings and conversion rates.
Mobile Search Behavior
People search differently on phones. Shorter queries, voice commands, location intent. You'll analyze mobile-specific keyword patterns and adjust content accordingly.
This module covers featured snippets, local packs, and other mobile SERP features worth targeting.
Technical Implementation
Structured data, viewport configuration, touch elements, and responsive design fundamentals. We cover the code-level details that make mobile SEO actually work.
You'll fix redirects, optimize images for different screen sizes, and handle JavaScript rendering issues.
Tracking & Analytics
Set up proper mobile tracking in Search Console and Analytics. Learn to segment mobile traffic, identify problem areas, and measure improvement over time.
You'll build reports that show exactly where mobile performance needs attention.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Blocked resources, unplayable content, faulty redirects, intrusive interstitials. We work through the mobile SEO problems that show up most often.
Each issue includes diagnostic steps and practical solutions you can implement immediately.
How the Program Works
The curriculum runs over six weeks with two live sessions per week. Each session focuses on a specific mobile SEO component with hands-on exercises and site audits. You'll work with your own website or practice sites throughout.
Foundations & Auditing
Start with mobile-first indexing principles and technical requirements. Run comprehensive audits on sample sites to identify mobile SEO gaps.
Learn to use Chrome DevTools, Google's Mobile-Friendly Test, and Search Console's mobile usability reports. Complete your first full mobile SEO audit by week two.
Speed & Core Web Vitals
Measure and optimize Largest Contentful Paint, First Input Delay, and Cumulative Layout Shift. You'll identify performance bottlenecks and implement actual improvements.
Work with image optimization, lazy loading, caching strategies, and third-party script management. Test improvements across real mobile devices and connections.
Content & Advanced Topics
Optimize content for mobile search intent. Cover voice search optimization, local SEO for mobile, and mobile-specific structured data implementation.
Final project involves creating a complete mobile SEO strategy for your site with measurable targets and implementation timeline. Present your plan during the last session for group feedback.
